Welcome to Alta-Aurelia High School. Alta-Aurelia High School, located in Alta, Iowa, is a 9-12 building that serves high school students from the communities of Alta and Aurelia. We believe in providing academic opportunities for all learners, from college class opportunities through Buena Vista University and Iowa Central Community College to services for those students who need a more flexible type of high school education the curriculum and classes offered at Alta-Aurelia High School allow students to find their interests and pursue their goals towards a successful high school experience.
In addition to our academic opportunities, Alta-Aurelia also offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities. We provide all the major sports that a typical high school offers as well as very successful band and vocal programs. We also offer FFA, CLT (Community Leaders of Tomorrow), Quiz Bowl, Science Bowl, Dance Team, Student Council, and National History Day Competition.
There are plenty of opportunities for students to learn outside of the classroom!
